La merced has been an area focused on commerce since the Aztec times, and currently holds the second largest market in the city, over one square kilometer. A place where you can find anything and everything.
We will explore the merced and sonora market (known for witchcraft and sorcery), try a michelada, enjoy the most delicious and authentic tacos you have ever tried, try some pre hispanic snacks, enjoy a drink at a classic cantina and explore all the surrounding historic gems tourists never get to meet.

La Merced
Currently the second largest market in the city. The Merced Market and its surroundings have been an area of commerce since Aztec times. There is a constant movement of people and it is customary to attract the attention of potential customers with shouts. We will discover in its corridors all the ingredients that create Mexican gastronomy. Fruits and vegetables, Mexican spices such as epazote, fresh and dried chiles of almost all varieties, nopales, maiz and ancient herbal remedies.
Mercado Sonora
The world-famous Mercado de Sonora specializes in products such as pottery and party decorations, however, it also sells herbs and remedies, magic, witchcraft and occult-related products.
Centro Historico
We will tour the surroundings of the Merced neighborhood discovering the gastronomic and historical jewels of the area.
