— What You Can Expect —
Head to the Republic of Palau in the Western Pacific for an insightful holiday! This archipelago of more than 500 islands has a lot to offer both in breathtaking views and historical significance.
Visit the Little White House in Melekeok, North Island. The Little White House, modelled after the White House in the U.S., is the political centre of Palau and a popular tourist attraction due to its accessibility.
Make your way to Ngardmau Waterfall to cool off in the tropical atmosphere. Cross rough passages in river valleys and mountains, as well as the ore transport railway built by the Japanese. The waterfall is known as Angel Falls as the falling streams look like an angel spreading its wings. Take a dip and get refreshed for the rest of your adventure!
Next, Changdi Park, also known as Palau’s national park. It has a natural seawater swimming pool that local children would jump during high tide. Local families also come here for barbecue picnics during holidays. Spot corals and small clamshells on the shore, and keep your camera handy to take picturesque photos!
The KB Bridge was jointly built by the Japanese and Palauan governments. At 410 meters long, it was originally designed as an arch bridge without any other piers in the middle. Since it opened to traffic in January 2002, it has become a link between the two big islands. This only bridge in Palau is a milestone that has become a must-see tourist attraction!
Students of history must not miss the Japanese-style lighthouses located in the north of the North Island. Look closely for bullet holes on the lighthouse that are remnants from World War II. Few tourists have visited this high place, but from this vantage point, you can see the whole of Palau and even other islands!
