This rainforest world plays home to Amazonian Macaws, red breasted Galahs, cheeky multi-colored lorikeets, chatty cockatoos, and so much more. Learn how the species in the park are protected and cared for, as well as how their conservation is contributing to maintaining the birds' population given the dwindling amount of nesting sites in forests in the world. How to get there

  • By bus: Free shuttle bus: Departs Skyrail and Kuranda Railways Station every 15 minutes between 10:30am-3:00pm, daily

  • By car: Only 40 minutes north west of Cairns. You can get to Kuranda via the Captain Cook Highway and Kennedy Highways
