Itinerary

St. James's

It's our policy not to tell you too much about each stop in our walks, so as to maintain an element of surprise. That said, on this stop, we will link the locations to Churchill's family and private life. It's a fascinating tale.

Here we will consider the wartime Churchill. You'll hear about the Battle of Britain, the Blitz and Operation Barbarossa, and the decisions he made to keep Britain safe. This was the country's Darkest Hour, and one for which the country paid a heavy price.

Horse Guards Parade at Whitehall

Churchill was First Lord of the Admiralty on two occasions, and you will see the building from which Churchill led the country's senior military service. You'll also hear about the disastrous Gallipoli campaign, for which Churchill was very much responsible.
