Nyungwe Forest National Park offers a unique zipline and canopy walkway experience, allowing visitors to explore the forest from above.

Nyungwe is located in the southwest, covering an area of 1016 km across the majestic hills of southeast Rwanda, Nyungwe National Park is the largest mountainous rain forest in central and east Africa and one of the most ancient, dating back to before the Ice Age. The forest supports over 1025 plant species and over 500 species of orchid and giant lobelia. Nyungwe also has 13 species of primates; these include chimpanzees and the Black and White Angolan colobus monkeys.

The 160m long and 70m high suspension bridge is accessible as part of a guided tour along the Igishigishigi trail, or to those hiking the Imbaraga or Umuyove trails. Having escaped the last ice age, the Nyungwe forest is a hotbed of biodiversity. Along the hour’s walk to the canopy walkway from the Uwinka Reception Centre, visitors will see countless butterflies, orchids and colourful birds, including many endemic to the region.
