WE enter the gorge of the Swartberg Mountain range and follow it from north to south. This was the original gateway between the inland Great karoo and the Ocean for trading with the passing ships. We stop in the gorge and walk the 300 meters to a cascading waterfall and rock pool. The brave of heart can have a swim and learn about the mermaid living in this pool!
