Sunrise E-Bike: KIYOTO's Kyoto Tour: Go Local, Be Local
Let's start our adventure early while other travelers are still in bed. Our bike tour begins with the refreshing scenery of the Kamo River, a beloved spot for Kyoto residents. We'll explore Gion's main streets and hidden gems, then ride up to Kiyomizu-dera, where we'll admire the temple grounds. Even without entering, the view of Kyoto's cityscape is breathtaking.
We'll breeze through the charming area of traditional machiya houses in the Kiyomizu district, taking photos with the famous Yasaka Pagoda in the background. The Starbucks Yasaka store, renovated from two over 100-year-old machiyas, is worth a visit. We'll return to Gion, pass through Maruyama Park, and ride under Heian Shrine's massive torii gate.
This marks the end of our official tour, but there are many more spots to see on the way back. Feel free to ask your guide for recommendations to make the most of your day ahead. With an optional add-on, you can return the bike by 5 PM and choose your preferred drop-off location.

Kamogawa River
The Kamo River is a scenic waterway flowing through Kyoto, offering beautiful seasonal landscapes and a tranquil escape from the city's bustle. It is a popular spot for walking, picnics, and dining, with nearby attractions like Gion and traditional temples, making it a must-visit destination in Kyoto.
Gion
Gion is Kyoto's most famous geisha district, known for its traditional wooden machiya houses, historic teahouses, and rich cultural heritage. Located between the Kamo River and Yasaka Shrine, Gion offers a unique glimpse into Japan's traditional arts, with geishas and maikos entertaining guests in its elegant teahouses and restaurants.
Gion Shirakawa
Gion Shirakawa is a picturesque area in Kyoto's Gion district, known for its serene canal lined with traditional wooden houses, weeping willows, and cherry blossoms. This charming spot offers a tranquil escape from the bustling streets of Gion, with its cobblestone paths, historic teahouses, and romantic atmosphere, especially during cherry blossom season when the area is beautifully illuminated at night.
