Sigiriya is one of the must-visit locations in Sri Lanka and UNESCO listed world heritage site. It was built by King Kashyapa as his palace. The rock is 660 ft high, and frescoes, mirror wall and gardens are simply marvellous creations.
Dambulla royal cave temple is a UNESCO world heritage site. The temple complex is situated on a rock above 160 m high from the surrounding plains. There are 153 buddha's statues in the temple and mural painting are well preserved.
Sigiriya museum provides an insight into the cultural and historical background of Sigiriya rock fortress. Various photographs on its discovery were also presented here.
