An old Viking site known as Jarlabankis causeway bridge. It was built a thousand years ago by a Viking lord called Jarlabanki. Learn about why he built it and what the rune stones at the site tell us about this self-confident Viking and his powerful family. We spend approximately 20 minutes on the site and the travel time to the tour stop is roughly 30 minutes.

Visit an old Viking assembly called Arkils Tingstad. The site is one of the best preserved Viking assemblies in the world. The travel time to the stop is about 10 minutes and we spend approximately 20 minutes at the tour stop.

Visit Granby, a modern Swedish farm with an archaeological Viking farm site. Granby with its foundations from an old settlement (400–500 AD). Here we find the biggest rune rock carving in Sweden – Granbyhällen. The carving has a text that tells us about the Viking family who owned the farm a thousand years ago. From the text we can hypothesize about family relations, inheritance rights and more. Learn about the Viking farms and everyday life of the Vikings in Scandinavia as you stand inside of the Viking longhouse foundation. Before leaving Granby you will have time for a coffee break in an old cozy farmhouse.
