Following the historic railway route, you’ll find informative panels along the way, detailing the fascinating rise and fall of this once-vital transport link. The landscape is wonderfully diverse, taking you past verdant hop plantations, native forests, boutique wineries, and fertile market gardens. The Waimea Plains are a patchwork of thriving crops and stunning natural beauty, offering plenty of picture-perfect moments A highlight of the journey is the ride through Spooner’s Tunnel—at 1.4 km, it’s the longest cycle tunnel in the southern hemisphere! Our Viator guests will be treated to comfy gel seats and a bottle of water.

We will collect you from the Reception area at the accommodation. We will message you the night before your tour to confirm the collection time (based on other collections that morning).
Meeting / End Points
- We are based near the reception of Tahuna Beach Holiday Park - continue to the end of Beach Road and you will see our cabin in the Conference Centre carpark. There is plenty of free, off-street parking at the base.
