The Danube river Bend region is a unique, very beautiful part of Hungary. It is especially beautiful now, in October. If you like nature and art, this tour is for you.
We pick you up at your place, and we take you back there (or somewhere else in the city, if you prefer.) Since this is a private tour, we will focus on what you are interested in. Tell us you preferences to help us make this perfect.
The duration is about 5 hours plus lunch (if you want to have lunch). Lunch takes usually about 1 hour. So if we start at 9 AM, we are usually back at about 3 PM (if we start at 9), but if you want to be back sooner, that is also possible. Would you like a different starting time than the ones offered? (Subject to Option Inclusions)We visit two towns along the Danube river: Szentendre and Visegrád. On the way to the Danube bend we will stop in the artistic village of Szentendre. It is a small baroque city at the gate of the Danube Bend in a beautiful natural environment. Cobblestone squares, colorful old houses, narrow streets, graceful churches, nice cafes and quality souvenir/art shops with a huge choice of Hungarian contemporary and folklore art.. Szentendre is home and inspiration for many well known Hungarian artists. After the walk through the charming and quiet streets of the downtown you can visit interesting museums or galleries presenting local art. Visegrád once was the capital of Hungary. From the hill you will enjoy the fascinating panorama of the Danube bend. Here we have an option of visiting the ruins of the castle (tickets: about 7 euros per person). During the tour we can also have lunch at a good restaurant.
