Salento: Birding along the Torrent River
This is an easy hike to visit a nature reserve close to Salento. Will visit an historical bridge called "La explanación". Hiking along the nature we will learn about the birds while heading to the Quindio River to have the picnic, to taste local fruits next to the shores of the river.

Salento
We take our breakfast before we set off
Boquia
we set off to Boquia Hamlet at 1.790 m.a.s.l. The hike starts heading to the bridge "La Explanación" where the Boquia creek passes. We will walk along the forest that belongs to a nature reserve of the civil society, full of butterflies, dragonflies, beetles, flowers and birds. The main activity we will do is the birding and hiking.
Boquia
At the end we will visit the Quindío River, a very important river for all of us. Here we will have our fruits picnic and then return back to Salento.
