Colosseum

Dive into the ancient history of the Colosseum. The Colosseum, also known as the Flavian Amphitheater, is an oval magnificent architecture in the center of Rome. Built of travertine, tuff and brick-faced concrete. It is the largest construction ever build in ancient Rome. It is situated just east of the Roman Forum. Emperor Vespasian began the construction in 72 AD and was completed in 80 AD by its successor Titus.

Foro Romano

The roman Forum also known Forum Romanum is a plaza surrounded by the ruins of several important ancient Rome governments buildings at the center of the city. Originally a marketplace, the citizens of the ancient city referred to this place as the Forum Magnum. Dive yourself in the ancient culture to learn the way of life Rome’s predecessors lived.

Palatine Hill

The Palatine Hill is the only hill from the Seven Hills of Rome situated in the center of Rome. It is the most ancient place of the city, 40 meters above the Roman Forum, looking down upon the Circus Maximus. Augustus Imperial palaces were built here.

  • Please be aware that to enter the Colosseum it is necessary to pass a metal detector security check; on busy days there may be a queue to do in order to pass through security check.
  • Please provide the full names of all travelers when booking. Failure to present a voucher with all travelers' full names at the ticket office prior to entry may result in denied entry to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.
  • The itinerary order might change. It is possible that you will visit the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill first and then the Colosseum.
  • The customers need to show up 20 mins before at the meeting point in order to meet the guide and guarantee a smooth departure of the tour. Late arrivals will not be accomodate and no refund will be due
  • Colosseum tickets have a strict entry time: customers who will not show up at the meeting point will miss the entrance and no refund will be due.
  • Each traveler must present a valid passport or ID document that matches the name provided at the time of booking for successful entry to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.
  • Not suitable for customers with mobility impairments
  • Not suitable for customers with hearing impairments (headsets are used during the tour)

Meeting Points

  • The meeting point is located at Largo Gaetana Agnesi, 5, on the second floor of the Colosseo metro station. It is in front of the entrance to the primary school. Our staff will be wearing a light blue uniform with the City Walkers logo. Please arrive 20 minutes earlier and bring a valid ID with you

End Points

  • After the tour finishes your guide will show you the exit or if you want to stay more will advise you what to see.

Redeem your voucher at the meeting point

The meeting point is near Caffe Roma (close to the upper floor exit of the metro station "Colosseo"). Our staff will hold a "City Walkers" sign Please arrive 20 minutes earlier. At the meeting point your guide will have your Colosseum reservation tickets ready. Late arrivals/no-shows cannot be accomodated and no refund will be due. Please be advised that everyone must pass through an airport-style security check in order to enter the venue. Starting from October 18, 2023, nominative tickets have been introduced for the Colosseum. Please ensure that the full names and birth dates of all participants are provided at the moment of booking, as entry cannot be guaranteed if the booking information is incomplete. All guests must have an ID with them as they may be required to show it at the entrance. As tickets as purchased in advance, this tour is non-refundable!
