The Diocletian palace is the largest and best preserved late antique palace in the world. The remaining parts of the complex are the outer walls, the 4 doors (Golden -Porta Aurea, Silver – Porta Argentea, Iron – Porta Ferrea and Brass -Porta Aenea), Emperor’s mausoleum (today’s Saint Domnius Cathedral), corner towers, Jupiter temple also known as the Temple of all gods, central square -Peristil and just south of Peristil – Vestibul.
Klis Fortress, served as a major source of defense in Dalmatia, especially against the Ottoman epire. take the time to enjoy the beautiful views of the city of Split, surrounding towns and distant islands.
Trogir is the best-preserved Romanesque-Gothic complex not only in the Adriatic, but in all of Central Europe. Trogir's grandest building is the Trogir Cathedral (church of St. Lawrence), whose main west portal is a masterpiece by Radovan, and the most significant work of the Romanesque-Gothic style in Croatia.
