Just five minutes by boat from the port, Vidos is now a protected wildlife sanctuary. However, in the past, it was home to three major fortresses, the remains of which still stand today. Embark on a walking tour around the island to explore the ancient walls, picturesque beaches, and other hidden gems while delving into its rich history and its significance in protecting Corfu. In the island's enchanting forests, you may even come across pheasants, peacocks, and wild rabbits.

There is a snack bar open on the island. Feel free to bring your own food and drinks, especially if you plan to spend time on the beaches.

When you visit the Mausoleum dedicated to the fallen Serbian soldiers, you will feel a deep sense of honour for those who gave their lives in WW1. Inside, you will encounter a shrine devoted to thousands of unknown soldiers, along with individual caskets of those who were known.

This ancient fortress, although in ruins, still guards a hidden secret waiting for you to discover during our tour.

Take your time during the walk to swim in the crystal-clear waters off Tramoudana beach. You'll find a peaceful beach, as not many tourists know about it. Bring your swimwear and some food and drinks, and just relax in the tranquillity of this area. It's a nice little beach where the crystal-clear water and small stones create a serene and tranquil atmosphere. Despite the lack of facilities, the sight of wildlife will add an element of charm to the experience.

1. Visit the app store and download "Corfu Narratour". 2. Look for "History of Vidos Island" and press the image; on the next screen, click the "OPEN MAP" button. 3. In the "Redeem your code" section, either type or copy the booking reference number, which can be found below the barcode that Viator sent you. Please wait a few minutes before using the code; it will take Viator a few minutes to send it to us. 4. Once you have activated the map, you can access it for six months. 5. Ensure your mobile device is fully charged before you start the tour. 6. An internet connection is only required to download the app and tour contents. Please don't close the app during the route; you need an internet connection again to open the tour. You can disable your GPS to save battery. 7. Once you have opened the map, find the red information icon and tap it. This will provide you with the starting point and other necessary information to enhance your tour. 8, Follow the route with your smartphone using the 'FOLLOW ME' feature, which moves the map as you walk. Android users - Look on the right side of your screen and tap the second white icon that has a dot in a circle. iOS users - Open your Apple profile, tap on 'Find My' turn on 'Share My Location' 9. For a better audio experience, we recommend using headphones or buds. Important information:- 1. Boats to Vidos start at 10:00 and run every hour, Returning at a quarter past the hour, except for the last boat which leaves at 18:15. You will need to allow a min of 90 minutes to walk the route with no stops. 2. The Serbian Mausoleum is free to enter. However, If you wish to see inside, it is only open from 10:00 to 18:00 every day except Sunday.
