Atlas Mountains View
After about 1 hour of driving from Marrakech, we'll take our first break in "Toufliht" village, a charming Berber village nestled in the heart of the High Atlas Mountains. Located around 70 kilometers (43 miles) south of Marrakech, Toufliht lies along the scenic road to Ouarzazate. We'll stop here for about 15 minutes to enjoy a short coffee break and take in the peaceful mountain surroundings — a perfect way to refresh before continuing your journey through the Atlas region.
Tizi n Tichka
Tizi n’Tichka is a renowned mountain pass nestled at 2,260 meters (7,415 feet) above sea level, connecting Marrakech with Ouarzazate. This winding route through the High Atlas Mountains serves as a gateway between the fertile plains of Marrakech and the vast Sahara Desert. With its breathtaking views, dramatic cliffs, and serpentine roads, it’s a scenic highlight for anyone traveling through southern Morocco.
Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou
We will be visiting the magnificent Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most iconic kasbahs. You will have 1h30 minutes to explore this stunning fortified village, famous for its earthen architecture and its role as a backdrop in numerous films and TV shows like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After the visit, you will have the option to enjoy a 1-hour lunch at one of the local restaurants near the kasbah. This is a great opportunity to savor authentic Moroccan cuisine while soaking in the beautiful surroundings.
