Our food trail brings together numerous things to do in Margao as you visit an iconic restaurant, meet vendors at a vibrant market, watch Goan bakers in action and eat your way through this historic town. This tour is a unique opportunity to not only tantalise your taste buds but also gain insights into the deep-rooted cultural connections between food, trade, and the communities that have thrived in Margao over the years.
Special Note: This is not entirely a walking trail and requires transportation. Transportation to be arranged by the guests.
We begin this walk at the Holy Spirit Church in Margao. You will be meeting a storyteller from Make It Happen at the meeting point. We begin with an introduction to the city of Margao and also highlight the church and its surrounding areas.
We visit multiple establishments in Margao. Bakery items and lighter snacks served at two establishments. Non-alcoholic refreshing beverages. We also stop at a bakery (subject to bakery operational hours) and learn about the process of making bread. Stop by a temple and know more from our storyteller about the significance of the temple
Visit to the market where we experience the lively atmosphere of the market and engage with local vendors.
