How to get there: From Nagano Station, transfer to the Nagano Dentetsu Line and take the 10:26AM local train to Shinshu Nakano. From Yudanaka Station, take the 10:19AM local train to Shinshu Nakano, and transfer to the 10:47AM Nagano-bound train

Savor a delicious bowl of ramen featuring locally-made miso before stepping back in time at a 240-year-old miso brewery.
Learn traditional miso-making techniques (note: it will involve mashing soybeans; you will get a mini upper-body workout!) and create your own 1kg batch of miso to take home (note: your miso will require several months of fermentation before it's ready to enjoy).
You will also get a chance to visit the Hokusai-kan Museum and learn about his connection to Obuse, and how this has shaped the town's character today.
