Join a locally inspired half-day itinerary that features top Olympic National Park destinations including the Elwha Valley and Lake Crescent, plus a bonus sightseeing stop along the Strait of Juan De Fuca. Departing from Port Angeles, the tour begins with a short waterfall walk (0.1 mile) at Madison Creek Falls along the Elwha River. Lake Crescent is the centerpiece of the itinerary with a 2-3 mile guided hike to Marymere Falls and surrounding trails immersed in old-growth forests. The afternoon wraps up with a scenic drive around Lake Crescent to reach Tongue Point and amazing views of the Strait of Juan De Fuca from Salt Creek County Park. The guided hikes are optional, allowing guests to do minimal hiking or up to 2-4 miles total.

Itinerary

Madison Creek Falls

Short guided walk to Madison Falls (0.1 mile one-way) and nearby forested trails.

Our tour group will arrive at the historic Lake Crescent Lodge built in 1916, showcasing one of the best views of Lake Crescent.

Marymere Falls

Our naturalist hiking guide will lead a 2-3 mile guided hiking tour to Marymere Falls, a stunning 90-foot waterfall. During the hike, our tour group will hike alongside beautiful moss-laden terrain, towering old-growth evergreens, and enjoy two scenic bridge crossings near Barnes Creek.

We are centrally located in the building nearby the spiral staircase and elevators. Be on the lookout for our wall-sized Olympic National Park map, four seasons exhibits, and our Olympic Hiking Co. logo. Our check-in area is located inside this map and exhibit open space, which is a great place for us coordinate check-in, gather as a group, and overview the trip! Just down the hall from us is our water bottle fill station, restrooms, and Silver Linings Cafe for amazing coffee, snacks, and treats. Parking: As a tenant of the Wharf, we have complimentary parking on the ground-level (covered and uncovered) and second-level. Please feel free to park here for the duration of our tour.
