Skopje Fortress Kale
Aborigently lit at night and overlooking the Vardar from its imposing walls, this fortress offers an unobstructed view of the entire city. Designated by the inhabitants as Turkish kale ("fortress"), it dates back to ancient times. Partly destroyed by the 1963 earthquake, it has since been restored and offers little interest except to walk around or enjoy the scenery.
Skopje Art Bridge
The Pont de l'Art is a pedestrian bridge located on the Vardar River, in the center of Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia. The bridge features many statues of many Macedonian artists and musicians.
Old Bazaar - Skopje
Čaršija is the old Ottoman hilltop town, evoking the city's past with winding alleys filled with tea rooms, mosques, artisan shops and even a good nightlife. It also has the best historical structures in Skopje and a handful of museums. It is the first place where every visitor should go. Čaršija connects the stone bridge to Bit Pazar, a large market for vegetables and household goods. Expect to lose yourself pleasantly in its maze of narrow streets.
