Your trip will begin with pick up from your hotel/accommodation/airport in Belgrade, and we head toward Eastern Serbia. Two hours ride we’ll spend enjoying the beautiful landscapes and listen to interesting stories about this part of the country.
Ram Fortress
Ram Fortress, often described as the most picturesque and powerful medieval fortress on the Danube. It was built in 1483 by order of Sultan Bayezid II - grandfather of Suleiman the Magnificent. According to the legend from this period, Sultan Bayezid II, visiting his soldiers, stopped to rest on a hill from which there was a beautiful view of the Danube and the opposite, Hungarian side. Ram Fortress has five towers connected by mighty ramparts, with 36 cannon openings, which speaks of its great power. For the sake of comparison, Kalemegdan Fortress in Belgrade has only 22 slots. They are arranged on the walls of towers and ramparts to cover the entire circle around the fortress. No less impressive than the history and military power of this fortress are the romantic sunsets, which "National Geography" declared to be one of the most beautiful in Europe.
Golubac Fortress
We will proceed our adventure towards Golubac Fortress, a defensive complex used to defend many kingdoms through centuries. Golubac is the perfect fairy-tale castle, wonderfully set off by its location in the rugged landscape at the head of Đerdap Gorge. There are nine towers in all, each between 20 and 25m high, and combined with the fortress's exciting position leaning over the Danube. They make Golubac undoubtedly one of the most beautiful castles along the 2,850km Danube odyssey from source to the Black Sea.

- We never cancel our tours, however, if you booked the small group option and you are the only person on tour, a supplement of 50% will be applied. At latest 24 hours before the trip, you will be informed in the case that you are the only guest on tour, and we will offer a choice between canceling the tour with no fees applied, or paying the supplement of 50% of the price.

- On a shared tour, we always buy entrance tickets for ZONE 1 (the green zone) of Golubac Fortress. This zone is suitable for all ages and physical conditions. If you wish to visit some of the remaining zones (blue, red, or black), we recommend that you book a private tour. These three zones are moderate to extremely challenging and require visitors to be in excellent physical condition. These zones are not recommended for persons suffering from acrophobia (fear of heights) and ophidiophobia (fear of snakes). Also, for these zones, appropriate clothing and footwear is mandatory (tracksuit, trousers, capris, trainers, hiking shoes).

Additional Information
If you have booked the shared tour option, pick-up will be 15-30 minutes before the departure time. One day before the trip, not before 6 PM, we’ll send you an e-mail with all the pick-up details. If you have booked the private tour option, the default departure time is 08:00. If you want a different departure time, you should contact us and let us know at what time you would like to start. Pick up from any hotel, Airbnb, a pension that is up to 5 km from Republic Square, or from Belgrade port is free of charge.
