Full Day Private InterCity Tour Jerash Ajloun Umm Qais from Amman

Starting from your hotel in Amman, we will pick you up from your hotel, and then start a 1 hour drive towards the site. We will start our tour at the ancient Roman city of Jerash, passing through the Jordanian villages in the north, and explaining to the customer about the customs and traditions in these villages. Arriving at the visitor center for the city of Jerash and guiding the customer to the ticket office. The customer is given up to 3 hours to visit the ancient Roman city of Jerash. Jerash is filled with rich history, you will have the chance to explore its colonnaded streets, hilltop temples, amphitheater, public squares, plazas, and temples. Jerash is one of the best preserved classical sites; a rich and prosperous Greek and Roman city.

Ajloun Castle

After Jeash we will drive to an hour to reach the city of Ajloun and visit Ajloun Castle and guiding. The customer goes to the ticket office to take the tour for an hour and a half to visit the castle. a 12th Century fortress built by the forces of Saladin against the Crusaders. It was built to dominate the 3 major passages into northwest Jordan. This hilltop edifice is a striking example of medieval Arab-Islamic military architecture. The structures, towers, chambers, galleries, and staircases that form part of the town, as well as the beautiful scenery that surrounds the hills nearby, will captivate you for sure. Climb into the tower and look around to take in the historical atmosphere and delve into the pictures que views of the Jordan Valley to the Dead Sea.

Umm Qais

To continue our tour we will drive for around two hours (you can take a coffee break or have lunch during this time). We will visit the city of Umm Qais. The customer is also guided to the ticket office, and after finishing, it is the end of the tour and the return to Amman. Learn about the ruins of the Decapolis city of Gadara, now known as Umm Qais. This place is stunning due to the contrast and juxtaposition of the Roman Ruins with the abandoned Ottoman-era village. Take in the breathtaking views from an extraordinary vantage point, with views of 3 countries; Jordan, Syria, and Palestinian Territories. And after our tour in Umm Qais ends, we will head back to Amman to the drop off location, the trip needs around 2 hours to reach safely to your destination in Amman.
