From Granada: Caminito del Rey Tour with Private transportation

In Andalusia we are fortunate to have a natural gift, carved over millions of years: the awe-inspiring Gaitanes Gorge. The origins of this "trail" date back to the early 20th century when the daring workers of the Chorro Hydroelectric Society needed a way to traverse this formidable rock canyon. What they crafted is a path that's merely 1 meter wide and 3 kilometers long... soaring at an astonishing 100 meters above the ground! A few years later, when the esteemed King Alfonso XIII inaugurated the Conde de Guadalhorce Dam, he traversed this pathway and bestowed upon it the name it bears to this day: "El Caminito del Rey." A little over 1.5 hours separate Granada from El Chorro, the town where we'll commence our adventure. The route itself is short and devoid of difficulties, spanning 3 kilometers of entirely flat terrain. Yet, the real allure lies in its remarkable location, with sections suspended more than 100 meters above the river.
