The Florence Dome, designed by Filippo Brunelleschi, crowns the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. Completed in 1436, IT was the largest dome of its time and a landmark of Renaissance engineering. Built without scaffolding, its innovative design remains an architectural marvel, offering breathtaking views over Florence.

The Baptistery of San Giovanni, located in front of Florence Cathedral, is one of the city's oldest and most revered monuments. Built between the 11th and 12th centuries, IT’s renowned for its striking octagonal shape, Romanesque architecture, and stunning mosaics that adorn the interior dome. Its most famous features are the three sets of bronze doors, including Ghiberti’s Gates of Paradise, celebrated for their detailed biblical scenes and artistic mastery.

Duomo - Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore

The Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, commonly known as Florence Cathedral or the Duomo, is the city’s most iconic landmark. Begun in 1296 and completed in 1436 w ith Brunelleschi’s revolutionary dome, it showcases a blend of Gothic and Renaissance styles. The cathedral’s striking marble façade, grand interior, and beautiful stained-glass windows reflect Florence’s artistic heritage. IT stands not just as a place of worship, but as a symbol of the city’s architectural and cultural achievements during the Renaissance.

  • The 3 - day pass is from the date you reserve when booking. But the Dome climb is a timed ticket and must be strictly respected. Other attractions can be visited after exchanging the voucher for physical tickets at the meeting point
  • Opera del Duomo Museum is closed on the first Tuesday of each month
  • Cathedral may be closed for liturgical reasons without notice
  • Every first Sunday of the month, the Baptistery closes at 2 PM
  • The Cathedral and crypt remain closed on Sundays & during Christian holidays Shoulders and knees must be covered
  • If you have purchased tickets for 4 : 30 PM, please contact us in advance so we can provide your tickets and ensure you can enter the Cathedral before IT closes at 3 : 45 PM or visiit another day so this timing will not affect your visit
