Praia da Angrinha
Praia da Angrinha is the closest beach to the center of the village of Ferragudo. It is separated from Praia Grande by the Castle of São João de Arade, a fortress built in the 17th century to defend Portimão, on the other side of the river. The water usually reaches the fort in the high tide, but in the low tide the two beaches form a single and extensive area, and it is possible to bypass the monument and visit both.
