We visit Delos, the island where according to the mythology god Apollo was born. Delos is today known as "the Greek Pompeii", as it was destroyed by pirates in 69 BCE and ever since left abandoned. We see houses, shops, workshops, shrines, temples, the theater, the slave market, the Terrace of the Lions, and more.
We do a complete tour of the Old town of Mykonos, to see its monuments and landmarks: the windmills, Little Venice, the iconic Paraportiani church, the Town Hall, the fish market, Mando square, the private chapel of St. Nicolas, the shopping district, etc.

We first visit the Theater district, to see ancient houses, shops, workshops, the theater, and the huge public water cistern; we admire the almost perfect sanitary system of the town, as well as some nice mosaic floors.
Next, we proceed to the area of the temples to discover the ruins of Apollo's temple, and marvel at the remains of his gigantic statue. From there we walk to the slave market (Delos became super rich thanks to the slave trade!) We'll check the Sacred Lake, the exact spot where according to the mythology Apollo was born, and the adjacent Terrace of the Lions, a series of marble lions, supposed to be the guardians of Apollo's birth place. We also see the Stoa of Philip V, the Propylaea, the ruins of Leto's temple (the mother of Apollo).
We return to Mykonos, to visit its monuments and landmarks: the Windmills, Little Venice, the iconic Paraportiani church, the Town Hall, the fish market, the monument of Lady Mando (the local heroine), the private chapel of Saint George, the shopping area, and more.
