Out of the city into nature and a glimpse into Maori history
We leave the hustle and bustle of the city, enjoy the unique nature on a walk through mystical rainforest to the 47 km long black sandy beach.
If nature allows, spot Maui dolphins at play, fur seals sunning themselves on rocks and some 3,000 gannets giving birth at Otakamiro Point (August – April).
We visit Bastion Point, get a glimpse of Maori history before heading to a cozy beach town away from mass tourism with great views of Rangitoto, Auckland's largest volcano and Browns Island.
Finally we visit Maungakieke, the third largest volcanic mountain in Auckland with magnificent views of the Hauraki Gulf, Auckland City and Rangitoto
