In this 3-hour excursion, you'll follow a professional chef on an introductory tour of Barcelona's oldest and best food market, the Mercat de Sant Josep de la Boqueria, which dates back to the 13th century. The chef will buy some of the fresh ingredients needed to produce an authentic paella de marisco, or seafood paella, and Spain's classic rice dish, while detailing the delicacies on offer, notably the fish, and the basics of Spanish and Catalan cuisine. Walkthrough the twisting streets of La Ciutat Vella, or old town, with the chef to El Born, the city's most elegant area.
Enter your private dining area, which is adjacent to the large open kitchen where you can watch the chef cook the exquisite paella de marisco. The chef will show you a range of well-known appetizers.
