In the town of Castellana Grotte**, **you'll tour the longest underground karst caves in Italy, over 3 km of path reserved for visitors with a speleological guide. The Castellana Caves reveal a hidden world made of huge columns, stalactites and stalagmites of calcium carbonate, curtains that look like alabaster, and cavities that recall Dante's inferno.
End the tour at Polignano a Mare, where you'll have free time to enjoy lunch and visit the town. The scenic historic center is perched on a high white cliff overlooking the sea.
