Park Guell
Park Güell is a public park composed of gardens and architectonic elements located on Carmel Hill, in Barcelona. Eusebi Güell assigned the design of the park to Antoni Gaudí, a renowned architect and the face of Catalan modernism. Here, the guide will explain you everything about the history of the park, as well as of its important architecture and curious facts.
The Monumental Staircase, designed in double, is structured in three sections that blend seamlessly with the surrounding rocks and vegetation. This staircase is adorned with a spout shaped like a serpent’s head, placed above the Catalan coat of arms, along with a vibrant, multicolored dragon, which has become the park's most iconic image. Also notable is a tripod that appears to be formed by three intertwined serpents, adding an element of mystery and symbolism to the ensemble.
