The painting class is designed for anyone interested in exploring abstract-style painting using palette knives, welcoming both beginners and novice painters. This 1.5-hour course will teach an appreciation for nontraditional painting techniques and is divided into four parts: Introduction (10 minutes) Brief self-introduction and discussion on abstract/non-representational art. Overview of the materials to be used during the session. Demonstration (10 minutes) A concise, step-by-step demonstration on how to start your abstract painting. The use of acrylic or water-based paints, chosen for their quick drying properties, ensures the activity progresses smoothly. Production Time (60 minutes) First 10 minutes: Participants will set up their canvases and practice using palette knives to get comfortable with the tools. Remaining 50 minutes: Hands-on painting session where participants create their own abstract artworks while the instructor provides individual feedback and guidance. Wrap-Up and Clean-Up (10 minutes) Conclude the session with time for cleaning up materials and reflecting on the art-making experience. NOTE: You will receive a free poster after completing the session.
