- Please book your international flight to arrive and depart from Kathmandu international airport. The tour starts when we receive you at airport and tour ends when we drop you at airport or starts a new trip.

You will be picked up according to your flight arrival time. Please come to the designated location upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport. Our Airport representative will be at the airport holding the signboard of Himalayan Social Journey.

You will be met outside the Kathmandu International Airport terminal by a driver holding a Himalayan Social Journey placard and he will escort you to the hotel. Depending on when you plan to travel it's important to have the proper clothes and be prepared for unexpected weather. Fairly well-worn hiking boots/shoes are a must! For tours between November and the first two weeks of March bring a jacket suitable for zero degrees Celsius. For tours at other times please bring a jacket suitable for 4 to 6 degrees Celsius, Otherwise the daytime weather will tend to be warm or pleasant. Tour Preparation Our tour will be beautiful places around Kathmandu Valley. Expect to tour about 4-5 hours daily by drive sightseeing tour in historical and cultural places. You do not need to prepare for the tour by suitable training such as climbing hills or stairs, jogging, and spending some time in the gym to improve your stamina for a few months prior for this tour. If you have normal health issues please do not worry for this tour. This tour offers sightseeing tour in Kathmandu in different historical and cultural monuments, sunset, sunrise and breathtaking view of many of the world's greatest peaks, including Mt. Everest from Nagarkot. Is there a laundry facility on the trek? There will be laundry facility in Kathmandu, Nagarkot. Visa You MUST confirm and obtain any visa requirements prior to border crossing. All visa requirements are the sole responsibility of the traveler. You can get a visa in Kathmandu airport upon arrival for $25 USD (or equivalent in other major currencies) for a 15-day visa or $40 USD for a 30 day visa. Please bring two photos for the visa. Expect to have some waiting time in the queue for obtaining your visa. You can also get your visa prior to coming on the tour by contacting your closest Nepali embassy. Not wheelchair accessible Hotel pickups commence prior to this time, you must contact the local service provider to verify your exact pickup time.
