Itinerary

Cafe Papeneiland

Your guide welcomes you in front of one of Amsterdam’s most iconic and centuries-old ‘brown cafes’ where you will taste the famous homemade Dutch apple pie just like Bill Clinton once did. On this tour a non-alcoholic drink, draft beer or glass of wine is price included. If you like you can also pay your guide cash €10 for a ‘Drinks Upgrade’ for 2 local craft beers, Dutch Jenevers (gin) or prosecco or 1 cocktail / mix drink (and 1 regular drink)

Mingle with the locals at this luxury delicatessen, where doing something very Dutch—‘een broodje halen’ (grabbing a fresh sandwich)—is part of daily life. Join Amsterdam residents who come here to relax with friends and enjoy their favorite sandwiches. You’ll be served their signature 'Broodje Grillworst Speciaal': a freshly baked baguette filled with warm, flavorful pork sausage, topped with honey-mustard sauce, mayonnaise, pine nuts, and arugula. Served with a soft drink of your choice. Vegetarian options are available.

When in the Netherlands, trying a ‘bitterbal’ or ‘kroket’ is a must! These iconic Dutch snacks are essentially the same treat in different sizes—crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside. They come in many varieties, but we’re proud to serve what is widely considered one of the best: the Holtkamp garnalenkroket (shrimp croquette), made by one of Amsterdam’s most renowned patisseries. If you're not that into seafood, don't worry—there's also a delicious beef or vegetarian version available.
