Our route will take us through the longest tunnel in South America, offering a unique experience as we make our way to one of the most picturesque regions in Antioquia. We'll witness a mesmerizing transformation in the landscape. The bustling cityscape will gradually give way to charming farms nestled amidst the grandeur of the Andes mountains, this transition is truly breathtaking, immersing us in a world that feels entirely different. Our first stop will be Alto del Chocho, a typical restaurant conveniently located along the road. Surrounded by natural splendor and stunning vistas, this establishment is renowned for its mouthwatering "Pan de quesos." It's an absolute must-visit spot, providing an ideal opportunity to stretch our legs and indulge in the delectable pan de queso.

2) After our rest stop, we'll pass by El Peñol town, the resilience and determination of its people is an example to follow, a town that rose from the ashes after a big flooding in the 1970s. The original town was completely submerged but the community refused to be defeated and decided to rebuild on higher ground, giving birth to the new town of El Peñol. Known as the "Phoenix of America," this town is a testament to the human spirit and the power of community.

3) Our next stop is truly one-of-a-kind and shrouded in mystery, the magnificent El Peñol Rock, a rock formation that reaches an impressive height of 700 feet, this natural wonder holds immense significance for local tribes, adding an air of enchantment. For the adventurous souls among us, there's an opportunity to conquer the 740 stairs leading to the top, an awe-inspiring panorama of the surrounding landscapes awaits you, offering breathtaking views that will leave you spellbound. Keep in mind that the descent involves 740 stairs also, some of which are steep and tight, so bring comfortable shoes and prepare for a workout. If climbing the rock isn't your cup of tea, no sweat!
