You will stop in Tataouine for a coffee break and visit the local market,
You will start your discovery by visiting the Ksar Ouled Soltane, a superb ksar off the beaten track that will allow you to discover the traditional architecture and history of the region.
Before your lunch in Guermassa, you will visit the village of Chenini. This ancient Berber village nestled on a ridge, blends harmoniously into the color of the mountain. The guided tour of Chenini will last about an hour.
After lunch in Guermassa, visit the Ksar El Ferech, then visit the Ksar Hadada,
After this busy day, you will take the road back to Djerba or Zarzis for a drop-off in front of your place of stay.

This ancient Berber village is a remarkable site and one of the most visited in the region. Nestled on a ridge, it blends harmoniously into the color of the mountain rock. You will be able to admire the troglodyte dwellings, built into the rock, and immerse yourself in the authentic atmosphere of this place full of history. The guided tour of Chenini will last about an hour, but you will also have the possibility to extend your stay if you wish, in order to enjoy this unique experience even more.
The citadel of Guermassa originally housed a rural mountain society. The people who built this type of fortified villages (ksour) in the region are called Jbaliya (People of the mountain). The ksar allowed the Berbers to maintain themselves while establishing customer and protection relationships with the Arab tribes, who arrived in the 11th century with the Hilalian invasions. It is built at the top of the mountain to fulfill several functions: Military, ksar citadel fortress, it protects the village serving as a place of refuge against enemies, observation site in all directions from the village difficult to access. These collective granaries for the use of one or more tribes, it makes it possible to preserve or store in the ghorfas the different crops, wheat, dates, olive oil, etc., over the years. The panorama from the top of the citadel is magnificent.
Medenine is a crossroads city and one of the last cities before Ben Gardane and Libya. Next to the new town, there is the old Ksar, it is part of all these Berber ksour that we will visit during the day. These are old fortified granaries, made up of cells in which the Berbers deposited their food reserves.
