Please note: you WILL be leaving the United States and entering Canada, so a valid passport is required for most travelers. Foreign travelers need to ensure they are able to leave the US, enter Canada, and re-enter the US. At this time, no COVID-19 testing or vaccination is required.

Pitchfork Falls

Pitchfork Falls is a 2,000-foot cascade into the Skagway River, viewable from the Klondike Highway between Skagway, Alaska and the border with British Columbia. The falls goes underneath a railroad bridge of the White Pass and Yukon Railway

Check-In: Please arrive 15 minutes before the tour start time to the designated meeting point for your dock. Late arrivals may not be accommodated, and no refunds will be issued. Meeting Points: Your cruise ship will dock at one of three locations near the Skagway Cruise Terminal: * Ore Dock: BY SHIP, near 98 Terminal Way, Skagway, AK * Broadway Dock: BY SHIP, near 45 Broadway, Skagway, AK * Railroad Dock: ZONE B, near 205 Congress Way, Skagway, AK Directions: Exit your ship and proceed to the bus loading area near the ship. 15 minutes before tour start, locate the Skagway Tours representative holding a red "Skagway Tours" sign at the specified meeting point. Important Documentation: This tour crosses the USA-Canada border twice. PASSPORTS ARE REQUIRED for all travelers (plus visas for guests from countries requiring a Canadian or USA visa). Exception for USA/CA citizens only: A government-issued photo ID paired with an original birth certificate may be used instead of a passport. Photocopies of citizenship documents are not accepted, and guests without proper documentation will be denied participation with no refunds. Note: Cruise line staff may state passports are not needed in Skagway, AK. This is INCORRECT due to the border crossing.

Thank you for booking Yukon Dog Mushing & Summit Tour with Skagway Tours. Your excursion includes the City/Summit tour up the Klondike Highway into Canada, where we will have 6 or 7 photo stops along the journey to the Tutshi Lake Sled Dog Camp, located in remote British Columbia, Canada. You'll have about 45 minutes of time to explore the sled dog camp, meet the puppies, mushers, and trainers. Tour includes a 20 minute mushing ride! Please note: there is no cell service along the journey once we leave Skagway! This includes data and voice. Restrooms/latrines along the route are very primitive with no running water. GUESTS OF ALL NATIONALITIES MUST BRING PASSPORTS AND ANY OTHER REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION for all tours with our company. Photo copies ARE NOT permitted. Photo ID and birth certificates are not acceptable unless the guest is a U.S. or Canadian citizen. You will be met at the end of your cruise ship dock by a representative of Skagway Tours. ALL GUESTS MUST ARRIVE 15 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE TOUR DEPARTURE TIME. Due to the nature of our tours we must depart on time at the stated departure time listed above. If your ship is at the Railroad Dock – Please go to the "ZONE B / Skagway FishCo" checkpoint, this is adjacent to the area where shuttles and tenders will drop you off. Look for a representative holding a RED sign that reads, "SKAGWAY TOURS." If your ship is at the Broadway Dock - Walk to the end of the pier "foot bridge" to the parking lot directly in front of your ship and look for a representative holding a RED sign that reads, "SKAGWAY TOURS." If your ship is at the Ore Dock - Walk to the red weather shelter which is located directly across the footbridge in the parking lot next to the cruise ship. Wait here for your driver/guide who will be carrying a RED sign that reads, "SKAGWAY TOURS." Failure to bring proper proof of citizenship is not enough to constitute a refund. We will offer 100% refunds if your cruise ship can not dock in Skagway.
