Skopje Bike Brut Tour
Explore Skopje's brutalist architecture on a bike. Some very concrete masterpieces were built from the ashes of Skopje's 1963 earthquake: a post office, a university campus, a railway line, a sky bridged dormitory.
Let me guide you around with the story of the urban utopia that connects it all. I'm Aleksandar, a city walker and a member of the brutalism appreciation society. I have been biking myself around town for as long as I can remember, so I basically know every corner of the city. We will have a coffee in the concrete furniture of the dormitory terrace, send postcards from the burnt post office, wave at trains departing above city level and don't worry, we will not take classes at the university campus.

This is the Saint Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje by architect Marko Music, built in 1974. This is complex of few building, we will walk and see the entrance space, the classrooms, the theaters...
This is the Central train station platform in Skopje by architect Kenzo Tange. We will enter in the station and visit the train platforms.
