After a brief orientation to get you comfortable with the city’s layout, we’ll begin our journey at the historic Camellón de Los Mártires – Plaza de Cervantes. It’s the perfect starting point to dive into the city’s past and experience the vibrant blend of cultures that define it today.
Next, we make our way to Cartagena’s iconic “Golden Key” — the famous Clock Tower, and step into Plaza del Ecuador, formerly known as Plaza del Esclavo. This square marks the beginning of the city’s old enslavement route, which we’ll follow along the historic Porto Carrero and Candilejo streets. But before we continue, we’ll be greeted by none other than Pedro de Heredia, the city’s founder, whose presence still watches over Cartagena’s bustling entrance.

Additional Information
If your hotel is located within the Walled City or Getsemaní neighborhood your tour guide will meet with you at your hotel lobby. In case you are located outside of the Walled City or Getsemaní, a driver will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the Camellón de los Mártires, starting location of the tour, where your tour guide will be waiting for you. If you will arrive on a cruise ship, keep in mind that you need to meet your guide at the exit that takes you to the gas station since we are not allowed to go inside. If you prefer to meet your tour guide at the starting location of the tour, we can also meet with you there :)
