Jeevanjee, who was the owner of Jeevanjee Garden was paramount in the shaping up of Nairobi's buildings, streets and general formation. Jeevanjee Garden among other gardens in Nairobi give Nairobi the title, The green city in the sun.
This market is one of the historical buildings in Nairobi. Formerly a horticultural market, the city market is now a host of four active segments namely: souvenirs market, flower market, food court and meat market.
