This site is the old port of Montreal which was abandoned in the late 70s when the modern port of Montreal was inaugurated in the east of Montreal.

A landmark in Old Montreal since 1875, the Italianate style building was designed by Hopkins and Wily and operated as the Harbour Commission for 100 years before it was sold and used as a warehouse.

The Lachine Canal is an iconic jewel located in the southwest of Montreal. Its 13.5-kilometre path runs between the Old Port and Lake Saint-Louis.
