Sightseeing Boat
You will check in at Aberdeen Fisherman's Wharf 香港仔漁人碼頭. Next you will embark on a unique adventure as you take a 20-minute ride on a Chinese-style sightseeing teak boat. During the ride, you will be given a multilingual audio guide (English, Japanese, Mandarin or Cantonese), that will provide you with stories and historical information about different landmarks that you will see along the way. From the comfort of your boat, you will be able to admire the stunning views of the fishing village while learning about its rich cultural heritage and the significance of each landmark.
While Jumbo Floating Restaurant might be gone, the oldest and only standing floating restaurant - Tai Pak Floating Restaurant is still standing strong in the middle of Aberdeen Fishing Village. Tai Pak - being one of the 13 landmarks is a renowned seafood restaurant that was built in the 1950s and also known for its ancient imperial architectural design. The restaurant (soon to be reopened) sears around 600 diners. It was featured in several movies and visited by dignitaries (late Queen Elizabeth II) and Hollywood starts. During the tour, we will stop in front of Tai Pak Floating Restaurant for you to take a picture with the magnificent imperial like floating structure as your backdrop!
[Hong Kong's Newest Attraction + Recommended by the Hong Kong Tourism Board] After the boat ride, you will visit the Aberdeen Houseboat, a floating museum in the middle of the fishing village that used to be the residence of a fisherfolk and his family. The Aberdeen Houseboat has cultural artefacts on display and showcases tools & techniques that were commonly used by fisherfolks in the past. There are also multiple modern elements (neon light display and 3D paintings) which are perfect for photo opportunities! Experience what it was like to be a fisherfolk, living in the middle of the quaint fishing village. [LUNCH TOUR] For participants who opted the lunch tour, you'll be able to enjoy a local delicacy - Sampan Boat Noodles on the houseboat. The noodles are freshly prepared on a moving kitchen, in front of you. Enjoy the freshest ingredients of the day and the fish broth made in the most traditional way.
