Join our San Telmo History and Culture Walking Tour to explore Buenos Aires' oldest neighborhood. As you stroll through its historic streets, you'll uncover stories and landmarks that shaped the city while enjoying a few select bites of traditional Argentine flavors, including empanadas, choripán, and alfajores.
Starting at one of San Telmo's oldest bars from the 1860s, we’ll sip on a local aperitif before heading to the iconic San Telmo Market. Wander through its antique stalls as we stop to sample local treats and learn about the neighborhood's transformation over the centuries.
Along the way, we’ll visit historical sites and hidden gems that reflect the soul of San Telmo, finishing the tour with a stop at a beloved ice cream shop for a taste of Argentina's famous dulce de leche flavors. This experience blends history, culture, and a taste of local life.
We will start the food tour at one of the most famous "cafes notables", the most famous and traditional bars in town.
Our second stop will be a modern "bodegon". This are old style restaurants where you can find the most traditional dishes in Buenos Aires.
At the Mercado de San Telmo we will stop in the best grill in the market. We will continue walking around the market and discover all the small shops.
You will make your own way to the meeting points
