Here you will explore the entire valley of Ribeira Grande and it's fauna and flora. You will admire the biggest and oldest baobab tree in Cape Verde which is 400 yeas old, here you can create unforgettable pictures for your family and friends. You will learn how we produce grogue which is the national drink of Cape Verde. You also have a possibility to discover the most beautiful bird of Cape Verde which is also a national symbol. We will have a privilege to end this walk in Cidade Velha which is the crade of all capeverdean people, the first settlement where everything began. After visiting the main attractions here (Rua Banana, Church, Pilori) we will bring you back to your accomodation.

While we are following the journey by car to our hiking destination, we will show you the buildings located on the edge of the road to a small village called Cabicera.
we will start our hike from calbicera deep in the valley till the old city (Cidade Velha). Hike: 4km Up: 0 m Down: 200m Degree of Difficulty: Medium
