Long Biên Bridge is an iconic historical structure spanning the Red River in Hanoi, Vietnam. Built between 1899 and 1902 by the French during their colonial rule, it was originally named Paul Doumer Bridge. Designed by the renowned French firm Daydé & Pillé, the bridge features distinctive iron architecture and was once one of the longest bridges in Asia. Over the decades, it has stood as a silent witness to Vietnam’s turbulent history, including wartime bombings and reconstruction efforts.
