Ingapirca Fortress is an archaeological complex in Cañar Province in Ecuador. It is located at an altitude of 3120 meters above sea level near the city of Cuenca. The fortress was built by the Cañari people, but later conquered by the Incas. The name Ingapirca means "Inca fortress" in Quechua.
