But we will definitely see the fantastically beautiful Djerdap Gorge. And we will feel like the heroes of "The Lord of the Rings" in the medieval fortress of Golubac and at the colossal head of the Dacian king Decebalus towering over the Danube.
Even the road to Djerdap is full of adventures. And, of course, we will encounter plenty of stories, from archaeological tragedies to amusing modern incidents.

What's included in Full Day Private Exploration in the Mysteries of Djerdap

We will visit the settlement of ancient people from the late Neolithic period, 5700-6000 years ago. This site was excavated by Zorana Papic, a great Serbian anthropologist.
Smederevo Fortress
We will stop at the largest fortress in Serbia, which served as the capital of the state several times. During World War II, the fortress walls housed an ammunition depot, which was blown up by a Soviet spy integrated in the Balkans named Golubic. We will see all the significant places within the fortress, take a walk in the park, and capture some photos.
Golubac Fortress
Another stronghold of sovereignty in Serbia is the Golubac Fortress. This fortress, built into the rock, dates back to the late Middle Ages and has preserved its charm. We will have lunch within the fortress walls, stroll through the inner garden in the rocks, and enjoy the views.
