Why walk when you can ride the sights? On Melbourne by Bike's Famous City Tour you'll see more in a few hours than most see in days. Explore Melbourne’s coolest streets, architecture, parks, shops, cafes, hidden laneways and multicultural neighbourhoods. Experience real Melbourne hospitality on this leisurely ride with a local guide in small friendly groups (usually 8 or less). It’s the perfect way to start any Melbourne visit. Be a traveller, not a tourist. Ride Melbourne's most vibrant areas where its university students hang out, explore the city's street-art scene and shop for amazing gourmet treats to eat with fellow riders during our lunch break at the famous Queen Victoria Market (or elsewhere when the market is closed on Mondays & Wednesdays) You'll learn a bit of its golden history, experience its famous cafe and foodie culture and hear about some of its colourful characters from a passionate guide on a comfy light 21-speed bike.
We'll show you the best that Melbourne has to offer... from the Yarra River with its cruises, heaving barge bars with an Ibitha theme... even little boats you can drive yourself. We'll carry on to some of Melbourne's traditional "sights" like the Shrine of Remembrance, beautiful public gardens, the Melbourne Cricket Ground and spectacular Rod Laver Arena... but we'll also show you the cool local neighborhoods that many tourists never see... the rooftop bars, street art, hidden laneways and more.
You will make your own way to the meeting points
Please be 10 minutes early. The tour is scheduled to run from 10am to 2.30pm, but due to the nature of bike riding, it can sometimes run overtime... depending on numbers participating, weather, varying fitness levels, riding speed etc. so please allow for this in planning your day. Catch the free #11 or #48 tram up Collins St to Stop D16 (Harbour Esplanade) then it's just a two-minute walk to our shop. Guests can phone, text or WhatsApp Murray on +61 417 339 203 for any further help or inquiries. Because of Melbourne's weather it's a good idea to wear "layers" if the forecast is changeable.
