This tour is designed for 2-3 people to travel without others. The tour is designed to try to ensure that you do things relevant to your particular group; you are not locked into aspects in which you have no interest. After your visit to Te Puia Maori Cultural Centre, you are given options such as the Redwood Forest, Blue & Green Lakes, the lakefront & gardens, the Agrodome, the luge, a winery - or any other places specific to your tastes. (Please note that we are not permitted to do the guiding at Te Puia.) This Rotorua Tour is designed for shore excursions from Tauranga. Clients can be picked up from local accommodation &/or from the Port of Tauranga. We visit the Te Puia Maori Cultural Center for a welcome concert and tour through its extensive thermal grounds. The tour also covers a variety of different scenery en route and stops briefly at a working kiwifruit orchard to explain the industry from planting to export. (6 hours max., travel time incl.)

Our accredited agent driver/guide will meet your chosen small group at the port gate & escort you to the vehicle in which you will be travelling. The driver/guide will have your name on a placard. We travel to Rotorua vis the historic Pyes Pah Rd.
Te Puia
After proceeding to Te Puia, the Maori Cultural Centre, clients are given a tour of the old pa site, through the thermal grounds (of boiling mud, geysers etc.) & shown the wood-carving school, flax-weaving & the kiwi bird. This is followed by a Maori Welcome onto the marae, before entering a meeting house for a performance by a Maori concert party.
Rotorua
On leaving Te Puia, we travel through Rotorua's CBD, where lunch is purchased (at client's cost)in Eat Street.. After lunch we travel along the lakefront, through the Government Gardens, stopping at the Rotorua Museum, the Historic Bath-house, to explain the background of this fine old building.
