Kandy, nestled in the heart of Sri Lanka, is a cultural gem renowned for its sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, an emblem of Buddhist worship. The city's lush greenery, picturesque landscapes, and vibrant markets offer a sensory delight, enticing travelers to explore its rich heritage and scenic beauty. You will be starting your tour from your hotel in Kandy at 7:00 am in the morning.Your guide will pick you up and chauffeur you to your first destination, Ramboda Falls.
Ramboda Waterfall
This waterfall is 109m high and the 11th highest in Sri Lanka. You will get to the waterfalls at 8:30 am; just as the sun starts glinting over the water, throwing colourful rainbow reflections. You can spend a pleasurable half hour relaxing and refreshing yourself and making some photographic memories too.
Hakgala Botanic Gardens
You will reach your next destination, the Hakgala Botanical Gardens, at 10:00 am. The gardens are the second largest of the five botanical gardens in Sri Lanka. The garden is famous for the many floral species; especially the Orchids and Roses. The site is also believed to be the location of the legendary Ashoka Vatika from Ramayana; the pleasure gardens where Sita was kept hidden. You will be spending an hour at the gardens and leaving at 11:00 am.
