- Starting from November 22, 2010, Taiwanese tourists holding a valid ROC passport issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the issuing authority stated as MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS, and containing the ID number, can enjoy visa-free entry for sightseeing purposes, with a maximum stay of six months
- From November 10, 2016, nationals of visa-exempt countries must obtain an "Electronic Travel Authorization ETA" before flying to or transiting through Canada
- In most cases, Canadian ETA electronic travel document approvals are received within minutes, but it may take several days for some passengers to process. Additional documents may be required due to individual circumstances, and processing time is not guaranteed. It is recommended that those needing a Canadian ETA send their documents in advance to avoid itinerary delays
- The ETA is valid for a maximum of five years, but its validity cannot exceed the maximum validity period of the passport. If your passport's validity is less than five years, you must reapply for an ETA after obtaining a new passport before entering Canada
